Shmuel Braverman has not been in Israel for 10 years.  After having served in the Six Day War and        the War of Attrition he suffered from attrition himself and left his wife and Israel behind.

He has a new life in America complete with family and business, and takes his new wife on a trip to Israel to celebrate his son Rami's completion of basic army training.

Shmuel's embittered father wants to be on good terms with him for this occasion, but his intentions    are put to the test when the whole family gets stuck in a cramped supply minivan on their way to the ceremony.
