In Jerusalem 1966, A family lives peacefully in a crumbling old building in the center of the city. Eli, the father, is at work most of the day. His wife Ruthy is locked up inside her own world and spends her days in bed. Michal, their lonely 11-year-old daughter, seeks attention from the other tenants. When Ruthy decides to get out of bed and find a job, the apparent peace of the house is disturbed.

Michal, their 11-year old daughter, is lonely and bored and seeks attention from the other tenants in the building. However one day, when Ruthy decides to get out of bed, the apparent peace and serenity of the house is violated.
