The Marriage License
A Film by: Menahem Golan
(Israel, 2007, 80 Minutes, Color, Hebrew, English subtitles, Cast: Meir Swisa, Orly Weinerman)
After 20 years of marriage, a couple contemplates their mutual feelings and seeks the lost passion of their youth.
When their daughter's future husband requests to see their marriage license, their futile search takes them through a quest to find a single witness to that long forgotten ceremony.
In the meantime, they are haunted by their banker, whose new jacuzzi hot tub is leaking, and is desperately seeking the husband's professional support.
This modern day version, of the classical Ephraim Kishon comedy, mingles together the intimacy of coupling with the absurdity of the daily life in today's manic society.
