A Film by Sigalit Banai (Israel, 2008, 50 Minutes, Color, Hebrew/Moroccan, English subtitles )
The film depicts the establishment of the town of Sderot from the viewpoint of its first settlers - immigrants who were transported on trucks in the middle of the night to a desolate "ma'bara" (transit camp) somewhere in the desert.
Despite the many challenges they faced, they stayed and developed an Israeli town with a unique character.
